General Questions and Answers

• Does our program effect our school or the entire district? Entire District
• How do we recycle in our school? Each school is responsible for establishing their own paper collection system. On Fridays a student and personnel from the HS Sped department pick up containers from each individual school. (You may have wanted to know "what" we recycle... paper, cans, cardboard. Some schools individually recycle plastic bags.
• Who or what group is in charge of our program? Each school has established their own group. (some have actually clubs, others have just a person who coordinates)
• What is our recycling schedule? Every Friday pick up between 12-1:00 (paper, cardboard and cans)
• How much do we recycle? How much do we make? we recycle about 25,000 lbs. of paper each year. We used to make about $500/year, but there is no demand for the goods right now, so we only make about $50/yr.
• Who delivers our paper goods? High School students and staff member
• What company handles our recycling program? North Valley Recycling
• Do we just recycle paper? again...cans from some schools and cardboard from some schools.
